Nature

Surrounded by
hills, vistas and fresh air

Petritoli offers breathtaking views over cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves. Paths on foot or by bicycle allow you to discover the Marche countryside in all its quiet, regenerating silences and colors that change with the seasons.

Nature and outdoors

Petritoli is a true paradise for slow tourism lovers and contact with nature enthusiasts. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Marche region, the area offers numerous walking and hiking trails that wind through olive groves, vineyards and woods, ideal for those who want to go trekking, horseback riding or on bike tours. In spring and autumn, the countryside is colored with evocative hues, giving the opportunity to enjoy immersive experiences surrounded by rural landscapes and unspoiled views.
Among the most significant trails is the Sentiero Sottoripa, a recently restored historic route that connects Via Petrollavia and Via Trieste to Via Marconi, flanking the southern side of the historic center. Used by locals until the 1960s, the path was mainly walked by the women of the village to reach the cemetery or the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Liberata, avoiding the town center.
The very Sanctuary of the Madonna della Liberata is another fascinating hiking destination: situated on a scenic hill, it is within walking distance of the village and offers spectacular views of the Marche countryside and the Adriatic Sea, ideal for a walk to recharge in the name of spirituality and scenic beauty.
A well-equipped sports area with a sports hall, grass football pitch, futsal court and clay tennis court complete the outdoor offerings. Also very close to it, there are a cool pine forest and a fully equipped RV area, perfect for accommodating travelers seeking a green and functional stopover in the heart of Le Marche.
