Petritoli Narrante kicks off
Events where Words meet Culture, the festival that brings culture to the most picturesque places in the village of Petritoli.
Three evenings with distinguished voices from the national cultural scene to inspire reflection, listening, and discussion.
The first event is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at 9 p.m., at the Moregnano Belvedere. The guest of the evening will be Lucrezia Ercoli, philosopher, lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, director of the Popsophia festival and well-known face of cultural dissemination.
The meeting, entitled “Nostalgia Canaglia,” (Damned Nostalgia) takes its cue from her essay Yesterday and explores the theme of the relationship with the past in an age when the present feels fragile and the future uncertain. From revivals to vintage, from photographs shared on social media to returning fashions, nostalgia becomes a key to reading our time: reassuring but also ambiguous, capable of offering comfort yet imprisoning.
Admission is free and seating is guaranteed.
The evening will conclude with a convivial gathering open to all.
The next events of the festival will be scheduled for July 11 at Piazza C. Tamanti with
Natasha Stefanenko and the presentation of her latest book Dalle Marche con Amore, a personal and emotional guide to her adopted homeland.
Finally on July 31 at Parco della Rimembranza, Diego Fusaro closes the festival with “Libertà Umana e la potenza della mente” (Human Freedom and the Power of Mind), a philosophical reflection on human identity in the age of artificial intelligence.
